Let’s be friends

If you think, as we do, that the work we do is vital and urgently needed, you might wish to contribute.

A message from the Chair, Caroline Kenyon:
We are delighted to announce our new Friends of Greater Lincolnshire Food Partnership scheme – for the cost of just three cups of coffee a year!
From only £1 a month, you can support our important work and show your commitment to good food for all in Lincolnshire.
In return, you will receive our regular mailer, always full of interesting news and updates, and know that you are helping to support food producers and those without.
If you would like to send this as a gift, please message us with the email address of the gift recipient and a message if you wish.

A bit more about us…
Almost a decade old, the Partnership is proud to now work with more than 100 food organisations across Greater Lincolnshire, many of which are food banks and other not-for-profits. Our essential map of community food support in the county receives over 6,000 visits every year, a worrying indication of the rising level of hardship.
As well as linking these organisations to share knowledge and ideas, the Partnership undertakes important work such as convening food system stakeholders over two years to develop recommendations for The Future of Food in the Fens, together with with Dr Julien Etienne. This practical report about a region which produces one third of the country’s vegetables, is attracting attention at the highest national level.
At the same time, the annual Food Summit, attended by delegates from around the county, was praised in December by the august British Medical Journal as an example of positive action in the field of healthy eating.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity.

Nourishing Lincoln
Who is paying the real price of cheap food? The cost of poor dietary health to the UK economy is £268bn a year, according to a recent report published by Food, Farming & Countryside Commission. That’s not far off 10% of GDP. Indicators for Lincoln show that dietary health here is worse than the national…
