A Feast of Photography
An ordinary day of friendship and food at Mint Lane Cafe made extraordinary.
On Tuesday 23rd September 2025, the people of Mint Lane Wellbeing Hub used photography to capture the delivery of surplus food from FareShare Midlands, the bounty of the Mint Lane community garden, the shared cooking and convivial dining, and the spirit of community at Mint Lane!
That evening, they put on an exhibition (with thanks to the fast processing at Snappy Snaps Lincoln) and invited guests to a delicious dinner of potatoes and chilli.
All this in a single day, with the help of professional photographer, Henry Kenyon; artist and curator Don Takashita-Guy; wholefood chef, Gemma Whitlock Greens and Good Stuff, and co-ordinator, Laura Stratford.

The Exhibition
“Thank you so much for the evening at Mint Lane last week. What a great effort it was to execute such a multi-faceted project in only a few hours. I enjoyed looking at the photographs and talking to Nigel, one of the photographers. I loved how the images were displayed chronologically – from the food delivery in the morning to the kitchen prep for supper.”
